What does Lumension® Implementation Assurance include?

Implementation Assurance for purchases of 1,000 or fewer Nodes:  Lumension will provide up to two half-days of remote Services to assist with the following:

  • Installation Assistance – Walk-through of the installation and configuration of the Lumension® Endpoint Management and Security Suite platform by a Lumension Customer Success professional
  • Server Setup – Assist with customer environment discovery and deployment plans (Nodes / sites / backend / project goals); provide recommendations on server configuration and installation, including replication and caching
  • Best Practices – Demonstrate best practices for discovering assets and installing agents, configuring groups and managing agent policies; setting up jobs and reviewing results. As many as 10 agents will be installed and configured on the endpoints in your network.
  • Operations – Configure Lumension users and their roles; set up the Lumension installation and upgrade manager; secure your Lumension server; demonstrate usage and configuration of the Lumension modules
  • Online Training – Access to the Lumension Learning Platform, which contains the latest online training materials for Lumension products; deliver and review welcome kit for accessing the Lumension Support team

 

Implementation Assurance for purchases of more than 1,000 Nodes:  Lumension will provide up to four half-days of remote Services or up to two full days of onsite Services (or an agreed combination of the two) to assist with the following:

  • Lumension® Endpoint Management and Security Suite (L.E.M.S.S) Introduction – Provide prerequisites and sizing guidelines for customer to prepare hardware or virtual servers for install
  • Server Components – Check pre-requisites; install L.E.M.S.S. server components; replicate; perform base configuration for audit mode of purchased modules; install agent on test system and check communications
  • Agent Components – Test agent deployment for up to 15 nodes and application of required modules; check agent/server communications and review logs for applied modules
  • Configuration – Review policy configuration with you and  demonstrate how to move from audit-only mode to policy enforcement for required modules
  • Online Training – Access to the Lumension Learning Platform, which contains the latest online training materials for Lumension products; deliver and review welcome kit for accessing the Lumension Support team

 

Patchlink for SCCM Implementation Assurance - Desktop:

DeskTop IA Patch Readiness for SCCM (3 day) Includes:

  • SCCM infrastructure health check and recommendations
  • HPLDT plugin install and configuration
  • Walkthrough of patch best practices

DeskTop IA Patch Readiness for SCCM (5 day) Includes:

  • Per 3 day, but additional time is spent on the health check for larger SCCM environments
  • Additional time will be spent on patch best practices/ training on the solution

DataCenter Patch Readiness for SCCM (4 days) includes:

  • SCCM infrastructure health check and recommendations
  • HPLDC server install and configuration
  • HPLDC plugin install and configuration
  • Walkthrough of patch best practices

DeskTop IA Patch Readiness for SCCM (1 day) includes

  • HPLDT plugin install and configuration only
  • Recommended only if a customer is purchasing IA for Datacenter at the same time

Terms and conditions applicable to all Lumension® Implementation Assurance Services:  For optimal results and maximum return on your investment in Lumension software, we recommend scheduling and completing the Implementation Assurance program within 30 days.  Lumension will notify you by email when your Implementation Assurance services have been completed.  Travel costs and related expensesare handled through a Statement of Work.  These Services are subject to Lumension’s Omnibus End-user License Agreement (see www.lumension.com/eula) or, if applicable, our negotiated services agreement with you.
